Expo 2009 a Big Success - Thanks to All!
On behalf of Human Resources, Know Better Place would like to
thank all the faculty, staff, students and volunteers who
attended, participated and volunteered at Expo 2009: celebrating
the UConn Health Center on November 3, 2009. Throughout the day,
over 1,200 expo attendees enjoyed and appreciated all of the
wonderful visual and performance arts, culinary competitions,
displays, cultural exhibits and recognition honors.
A heartfelt congratulations to the following:
- Robyn Wahl, Pharm.D., M.B.A., recipient of the Dr. Peter
J. Deckers Employee Appreciation Award, funded by The UConn
Foundation
- The 700 Health Center employees celebrating milestone
years-of-service in 2009 and our 195 retirees
- Team R+J Productions: Jason Wright, Ron Collins, and
Lorna Wright, the Ultimate Food Throwdown 5 Ingredient
Challenge Round 1 Winners
- Team TRIPPsters; Stacey Anderson, Nella Field, and Kathy

celebrating and recognizing the great people of our organization
throughout the Medical, Dental and Graduate Schools,
Correctional Managed Health Care, John Dempsey Hospital,
University Medical Group and Central Administrative Services.
Welcome to Expo 2009: Celebrating
the UConn Health Center. This day-long festival brings together
several successful Health Center programs with some new and
exciting entries. Recognition awards, visual and performance
arts, culinary competitions, demonstrations, displays and
cultural exhibits. That’s what you’ll find at Expo 2009.

Acknowledge. Celebrating a years of service milestone in 2009? Know Better Place will be
honoring 700 UCHC employees who are celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35
and 40 years of Health Center service and recognize
our many retirees. In addition, we will be presenting the first annual Peter
J. Deckers Employee Appreciation Award. Congratulations to all our 2009
recipients.
