Keeping You in the Know
Task Force Reports
Shortly after the summer 2007 Know Better Place Town Hall
Meetings, two fact finding task forces were established. One
group solicited ideas from employees regarding how the Health
Center can create more of a Work/Life balance. The second group
compiled feedback identifying how employees would like to be
recognized and rewarded. The reports containing the initial
findings were presented to the Know Better Place Steering
Committee in December. Please read the following reports,
including suggestions for future actions.
Employee Suggestion Boxes
Know Better Place, the C4I Culture Change Group and the
Office of Diversity and Equity, have partnered to enhance the
culture at the Health Center to make it a workplace of choice by
providing employee suggestion boxes and developing a system for
receiving, evaluating and responding to feedback. To date, we
have received over 64 suggestions and we will be posting a
progress report in the near future.
If you have constructive suggestions for changing the UConn
Health Center
culture, please fill out the
Employee Suggestion Form.
An e-mail button is provided on the form or print the form and
mail it to MC3806 Attention: Suggestions. You may also use one
of the boxes located in Main Food Court (outside wall of the Onyiuke Dining Room); basement level (6-bank elevators); Munson
Road, 4th Floor, near elevator; ASB; MARB, Front Lobby; or
Dowling South, near cafeteria entrance.
Rewards and Recognition
Finally, in an effort to increase collaboration, decrease
duplication of initiatives and move forward with
recommendations, the Know Better Place Rewards and Recognition
Task Force is partnering with UConnPride.
We invite you to visit this page frequently for updates on
these efforts and more. You are making a difference!
