How is Know Better Place going to induce culture change, increase communication throughout our
organization, recognize the achievements of our staff, and develop our leaders?
Our approach includes three pillars of action:
- Driving employee engagement
- Strengthening communication
- Developing skilled leaders
Know Better Place was created in an effort to bring together several initiatives going on at the Health Center under one “umbrella” program. The goal is to increase
communication and collaboration between and within departments and committees, to decrease duplication of initiatives, and to better align our efforts that result in a great workplace.
Such a workplace attracts and keeps talented employees. This program was developed as a result of the feedback from the 2005 Culture and Diversity survey.
Know Better Place is capitalizing on our strengths, of which there are many, and offering solutions to our areas for improvement. We need to continue to hear from all of our
employees; we cannot implement this initiative without the involvement, support and engagement of each one of us.

The Health Center is a great workplace and this initiative will move us toward being even greater. We’ll have recognition at all levels, effective organizational communication, engaged
employees, and dynamic leaders. |
